Global Super League 2024 (GSL T20 ’24) becomes the talk of the town soon after the official announcement.

The Caribbean Premier League’s Guyana Amazon Warriors will face Pakistan Super League’s Lahore Qalandars in the opening match of the first-ever Global Super League.

This five-team T20 competition will include the Hampshire Hawks (T20 Blast), Rangpur Riders (BPL), and Australia’s Victoria state team.

Legendary cricketer Sir Clive Lloyd is appointed as the Chairman of the League, who recorded his message for all the teams in a overwhelming & humble way.

This unique format aims to elevate the competitive spirit by uniting the best teams from five different leagues.

Started on November 26, eleven matches will be played over 11 days, with each team facing the others once. The top two teams will advance to the final on December 6 and the stunning trophy of GSL T20 will be presented to one who conquers all.

The inaugural tournament, set in Providence, Guyana, will bring together new teams from different regions each year, positioning Guyana as a potential global sports hub.

Each team will not only be representing their respective leagues but will also have the chance to showcase their region’s cricketing prowess on an international stage.

The lucrative prize money is expected to attract a lot of attention from fans and players alike. ExxonMobil Guyana will be the Title Sponsor of Global Super League 2024.

The official partners includes Demerara Bank Limited and Windsor Estates, aims to support GSL T20 inaugural season with best of their commitment. ENet joins as Official Broadcaster and NCN Guyana will be the Media Partner for Live Radio & TV coverages.

Imran Tahir to captain Warriors, and Chris Wood will lead Hawks in the absence of James Vince. Corey Anderson has been appointed as Victoria’s captain, Carlos Brathwaite as expected will lead Qalandars, and Nurul Hasan to lead Rangpur Riders in GSL T20, 2024.
