Rangpur Riders Unveils Official Jersey for Global Super League T20

Rangpur Riders, the first Bangladeshi franchise to compete in an overseas league, unveiled their jersey today for the inaugural Global Super League (GSL) T20 in Guyana.

The tournament, set to begin on November 27, features five teams, Hampshire Hawks, Lahore Qalandars, Rangpur Riders, Victoria, and hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors. Rangpur Riders, former BPL champions, will start their campaign against Hampshire on November 28.

At a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, captain Nurul Hasan Sohan emphasized the team’s pride and sense of responsibility in representing Bangladesh. “This is an opportunity for us to strengthen our reputation in global T20 competitions. We’ll give our best to bring more such chances for Bangladeshi cricket in the future.”

The jersey unveiling was attended by team director Shahnian Tanim and BCB director Nazmul Abedin Fahim.

Rangpur’s players, led by assistant coach Mohammad Ashraful, have been rigorously training in preparation. They’ll be traveling to Guyana in phases, with the first group, including national players, departing on November 18.

This Global Super League T20 offers Rangpur Riders a valuable international platform, reinforcing Bangladesh’s presence in the global T20 arena.
