UTM Markhors won the toss and opted to field first. They scored 150 runs for 7 in respective 20 overs where lower middle order batter Muhammad Awais Zafar played an unbeaten knock of 40 off 34. The one down batter Hasan Nawaz (22 off 13) shown some intension on top but he couldn’t convert his exciting small-knock into the bigger one.

The medium-fast bowler ‘Nisar Ahmad’ was on target from 2nd over of the match, bowled brilliantly throughout the match & with 2 for 21 in his 4 over spell. The allrounder Mohammad Sarwar bowled an economical spell of 3 overs where he conceded just 11 runs & took 2 important wickets. Another allrounder Saad Masood also took 2 wickets for 20 in his 3 overs.

In reply, UMT Markhors were shaky in the start because of first over loss in shape of their opener batter Khawaja Nafar. They lose 3 wickets for 50 runs, including their main batsman Fakhar Zaman 28 (25). But, Iftikhar Ahmad lead from the front as a skipper and played a handy knock of 42 off 34 (not out) where young allrounder Saad Masood 26 (16) supported him till end.

Mohammad Salman was impressive throughout the innings & took 3 wickets for just 21 runs in his 4 overs. Shahid Aziz (4-0-27-2) also tried his best but other fellow bowlers were not supportive enough for Nurpur Lions.

UMT Markhors won the match by 4 wickets in just 19 overs, Saad Masood for his allrounder performances earned Man of the Match award.


In the 2nd match, Captain of Lake City Panthers ‘Shadab Khan’ won the toss and invited skipper ‘Mohammad Haris’ of ABL Stallions to bat first.

Stallions were positive and sensible from the start, scored 50 runs in just 5.5 overs. Openers Yasir Khan 27 (15) & Maaz Sadaqat 19 (16) led the foundation for the upcoming batters.

Mohammad Haris came at #3 and scored a brilliant fifty but the great thing about the first part of match was the 128 (72) runs partnership b/w both Haris & Hussain Talat. Not only this, Hussain scored an unbeaten century knock of 101 (50) and helped Stallions to set a massive total of 217 on board.

All the Panthers bowlers proved out to be costly, where allrounder Mohammad Ibtisam shown some resistance and took 2 for 36 in 4 overs. Muhammad Umar (4-0-34-1) was the another wicket-taker of the innings.

Lake City Panther lost their opener Abdul Wahid Bangalzai 4 (6) earlier on but Umar Saddiq & Haider Ali played aggressive knocks. Panthers lost good-looking Umar Saddiq 24 (16) on the last ball of batting powerplay, ends on 66/2 in 6 overs.

Haider Ali completed his fifty in quick style & played a gem of an innings, but lost his wicket when he was dealing in boundaries. Haider scored 54 (26). Mubasir Khan 29 (19) also played a cameo knock but the target was big, so upcoming batters couldn’t even get closer to the target.

Stallions bowlers bounce back in the game after the first phase of 2nd innings, courtousy, brillinat spin bowling from Usman Tariq (4-0-25-3) and than Mohammad Ali (4-0-33-3) rapped up things for them. Panthers managed to score 181 runs in 19.1 overs, and lost the game by 35 runs.

Hussain Talat for his brilliant century knock declared as player of the match.


Lake City Panthers won the toss and Captain Haider Ali asked Engro Dolphins to bat first.

Dolphins lost 3 for 35 in Powerplay where they lost important wickets because of brilliant bowling by young pacers of Panthers, Ali Raza & Ibtisam.

It was struggle for Dolphins throughout the innings where their batters contributed a bit, took starts but couldn’t convert them into big knocks. Opener Mohammad Huraira 37 (32) lost his wicket just when he was looking good, likewise, Mohammad Suleman contributed with 34 (27). The wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Ghazi Ghori played a cameo knock of 27 off 16 and also allrounder Shayan Sheikh scored 20 off 12.

Dolphins managed to score 160 runs in respective 20 overs. The standout bowling performer from Panthers was allrounder Amad Butt 4-0-19-3, Mohammad Ibtisam 4-1-30-2 & Ali Raza 4-0-34-1.

In reply, Panthers openers were aggressive from the over #1 and they took on rusty looking Dophins attack. Sharjeel 14 (10) was the first scalp when the score was 37 in just 3.3 overs. The upcoming batter & man in form ‘Haider Ali’ played an aggressive knock once again & contributed 46 off 26. Haider lost his wicket after a 101 (65) with wicket-keeper batsman Umar Siddiq.

Umar was there till the end and smashed an outstanding knock of 78 (53) with help of 8 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 147.17. The other finisher allrounder Mubasir Khan scored 16 off 6, smashed a Six to wrap up the proceeding.

Salman Irshad 3-0-26-2 was the only wicket-taker of Dolphins, no other bowler contributes any notable performance.

Lake City Panthers chased the target in just 16 overs by losing just 2 wickets, and won the match by 8 wickets. Umar Siddiq earned player of the match award for his exciting knock.
