Rangpur Riders Practice Kit for Global Super League 2024

In a nod to Bangladesh’s rich history, the Rangpur Riders have revealed a striking new practice jersey inspired by the July revolution as they prepare for their debut in the Global Super League 2024.

Former national team captain Mohammad Ashraful, now serving as the Riders’ batting coach, is working closely with the team’s stars, including captain Nurul Hasan Sohan, all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin, and spinner Arafat Sunny, to prepare them for this international tournament.

The Riders secured their spot after higher-ranked BPL franchises, such as Fortune Barishal and Comilla Victorians, declined the opportunity, allowing the third-place team to step up to the global stage.

The team’s roster showcases nine talented Bangladeshi players, bolstered by five international additions. The domestic squad includes prominent players like all-rounder Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, pacer Mohammad Saifuddin, and recent Hong Kong Sixes standout Soumya Sarkar.

Young talent such as Saif Hassan, leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, and batter Afif Hossain also join the lineup, while experienced hands like left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny and pacer Kamrul Islam Rabbi add depth.

For international support, the Riders have enlisted Caribbean all-rounder Matthew Forde, England’s seasoned batter Wayne Madsen, and pacer Zak Chappell. The overseas players also includes American players Harmeet Singh and Steven Taylor, rounding out a versatile and diverse team.

The Riders’ new jersey is more than just a uniform, it’s a statement. Reflecting the team’s spirit and pride in Bangladesh’s history, the practice kit represents unity and resilience as they step into the global arena for the first time.

With the Global Super League just around the corner, the Riders are aiming to make both their nation and fans proud.
