Tanzim Joins Warriors for Global Super League 2024

Bangladeshi pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been signed by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the upcoming Global Super League (GSL), though his participation remains uncertain due to a current injury.

This injury has already kept him out of Bangladesh’s ODI series against Afghanistan, and whether he will be fit in time for the GSL remains in question.

Scheduled to take place from November 26 to December 6, the GSL will overlap with Bangladesh’s Test series against the West Indies, adding another layer of complexity to Tanzim’s availability.

The GSL, an eagerly awaited T20 tournament reminiscent of the former Champions League T20, will bring together some of the world’s top cricket teams.

Bangladesh’s own Rangpur Riders will compete alongside England’s Hampshire Hawks, Pakistan’s Lahore Qalandars, Australia’s Victorian squad, and the host team, Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The tournament will be a thrilling test of skill and strategy, especially for Bangladeshi fans, who may see Tanzim line up against his fellow countrymen if cleared to play.

Currently, Tanzim’s availability is contingent upon his recovery and the issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Should he regain fitness in time, he might even face his Bangladeshi Premier League team, the Rangpur Riders, in a round-robin showdown on December 4, a matchup sure to draw excitement from Bangladeshi supporters.

The Global Super League’s unique format, featuring teams from five countries competing in a round-robin style, promises high-stakes cricket and a chance for both seasoned players and fresh talents to shine.

As Bangladesh’s representatives, the Rangpur Riders and potentially Tanzim Hasan Sakib will capture the attention of cricket fans back home, setting the stage for memorable encounters and a showcase of international cricket prowess.
