The Guyana Amazon Warriors have strengthened their squad for the upcoming ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League by adding three West Indies players: Mark Deyal, Shamar Springer, and Roston Chase.
This inaugural T20 league, with a substantial US $1 million prize, will take place from November 26 to December 6 and features teams from around the globe, including Hampshire Hawks, Lahore Qalandars, Rangpur Riders, and Victoria.
Deyal, recovering from an injury, missed the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) this year, while Chase had an impressive season with the St Lucia Kings, notably scoring 39 off 22 balls in the CPL final against Amazon Warriors.
Springer, meanwhile, shone for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, leading his team’s bowling with 12 wickets. Alongside this new trio, key players such as Shimron Hetmyer, Keemo Paul, Romario Shepherd, and Shai Hope will bolster the Warriors’ lineup.
The Warriors’ squad will be captained by veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir, and includes international stars like Moeen Ali and Dwaine Pretorius.
